As the principal/owner of Twin Forks Permits, Lisa Poyer is a skilled professional who navigates the permitting process and advocates for her clients in a timely, efficient manner. She founded Twin Forks Permits in 2021, having gained nearly two decades of experience in the private sector as an Environmental Planner at an East End planning, design, and regulatory permitting firm. Lisa earned her B.S. in Marine Science/Biology from Long Island University's Southampton College, and her wetlands and marine environment background informs her work at Twin Forks Permits. Detail-oriented and hands-on, she brings the highest level of professionalism to each project, providing consistent client communication and project updates.
Lisa has extensive knowledge and expertise in land development and structural renovations with experience concerning regulatory agencies’ involvement and conditions and has built deep relationships in the field. Working with property owners, builders, architects, and attorneys, she has successfully piloted the permitting processes for a wide roster of residential and commercial clients, including complex large-scale subdivision projects and commercial site plans. She has a multi-layered understanding of land use engineering, surveying, and design requirements and the various levels of permits involved.
A resident of the East End, Lisa enjoys spending time outdoors, on the water, and fishing with her husband and their three dogs.
